I love fiction. I love to read it and I want to write it. I love supernatural fiction. Buffy was one of my favorite TV shows growing up and Anne Rice's books are amazing! But I have no desire to write a Christian vampire book. I just don't think I feel that need. There are plenty of supernatural stories in the Bible and in todays Christian world to draw upon for inspiration, stories of demonic possession, cults, false gods and prophets, angels, demons, hearings, speaking in tongues, prophesy, miracles, signs and wonders, words of knowledge, divine appointments, dreams and visions without me pumping out another vampire novel with a twist. so a few years i (illegally eek) downloaded a song called close your eyes which i thought was by unwritten law (it really really wasn't). and for years i have been trying to find it again because it was so beautiful. after months of lyrics searches all of which came up empty i have finally now found it thanks to the wonders of youtube :D the link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INH_LAkz0TA it's by a band called Jump, Little Children who broke up in 2005 and this is a video of just the lead singer Jay Clifford playing it live. so after leaving our bin out to be collected two weeks ago & having someone nick it (not an unusual occurance for us sadly) i still cannot find it :( boo! however my housemate has now set me up an account on his laptop (cuz mine's broken and i can't afford to get it fixed right now) so woop woop! so today is also pancake day (or shrove tuesday if you prefer) and alas i am working tonight but again it's housemate to the rescue. he's bringing me one in work :D yay! and then we're going to the pub excllent! anyway here's some thing's i'm excited about this week...
